Clayton restaurant expands hours, adds dinner service

The Grill at Meadowbrook has added dinner service.

Adrian Jaqua, general manager and co-owner of the restaurant, said the expansion is the result of customer demand. “We have gotten tons of positive feedback from our patrons and felt it was time to start offering a dinner menu,” Jaqua said.

The restaurant is located at 6001 Salem Ave. at the Meadowbrook at Clayton, formerly the Meadowbrook Country Club. The golf course is now owned and operated by the city of Clayton, and both the golf course and the restaurant are open to the public.

The restaurant’s newly expanded hours are Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Grill at Meadowbrook, operated by Heritage Event and Catering, seats about 75 in three dining rooms, and can seat up to 350 in banquet rooms, Jaqua said. It employs 17, with an additional eight to 10 employees serving as part-time event staff.

Executive chef Rob Basdeo designed the lunch and dinner menu. Signature dishes include a citrus-marinated whitefish, a seared ahi tuna dish, lobster mac n cheese, grilled lamb lollipops and Steak Au Poive, Jaqua said. Pastry Chef Halie Watkins designed the dessert menu, which includes a signature Brandy Raspberry Creme Brulee as well as apple pie, chocolate cakes and a variety of cheesecakes.
