5 places in Dayton to pick your own fruit, veggies

By: Kamron Taylor, Staff Writer

There is nothing like the taste of a fresh garden salad or the flavor of a cool watermelon picked directly from the farm.

Sometimes it can be a bit difficult to find food that you’re certain came directly from the ground and onto your plate.

If you’re about to cook up a fresh summer meal, or just want the satisfaction of knowing exactly where your food came from, check out this list of places you can go to pick your berries straight from the vine. BONUS: It's also a fun activity for the little ones.
