According to Twitter feeds and other news reports, Chappelle spent at least half a dozen minutes at the beginning of his stand-up routine talking about the transgendered television personality and former Olympic gold medalist. Chappelle is reported to have called Caitlyn Jenner a “superman” who was “beating Africans” in track and field in the 1970s.

The 42-year-old stand-up comedian, who lives outside Yellow Springs, is not a stranger to controversy – or mystery. He shuns the media and explained why he rarely grants interviews.
