Those circles are the result of cupping, a therapy used to break up the accumulation of toxins or blood forming from over-exercising that can cause strain and irritation, according to C. Fritz Froelich, owner of Far Hills Acupuncture in Dayton. While there are critics of this thousands year-old Asian and Middle-Eastern practice, cupping is also known to relieve stress and muscle tension.

Tracy Becknell, a licensed acupuncturist and owner of Greater Dayton Acupuncture attended the American Institute of Alternative Medicine in Columbus. She offers a handful of services including: acupuncture, electronic stimulation, moxibution and cupping.

FAR HILLS ACUPUNCTURE
Taking advantage of the cultural history and wellness of acupuncture, Fritz Froelich is trained in all the branches of Oriental medicine including Korean acupuncture and is internationally certified in South Korea and the United States. He also teaches acupuncture at the SHI Traditional Chinese Acupuncture School. Froelich has over 20 years of experience in acupuncture being trained in tuina, a traditional therapy and Gua Sha, which he said is a similar technique to cupping and other types.

KETTERING MASSAGE WELLNESS CENTER
