More than 850 pumpkins were carved for the event in 2015, which was organized by Stoddard Avenue resident Judy Chaffin, "The Pumpkin Lady," and her neighbors, family and friends on a hill near the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.

Chaffin started carving pumpkins and displaying them on the hill  in about 1994. What started as 50 pumpkins grew into a phenomenon for visitors as far away as Canada.

The story of a local man proposing to his girlfriend at the 2013 glow received international attention.
