If you had to choose, which of these silver screen actors would you want to see the most: James Stewart, Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Grace Kelly or Judy Garland?

Starting this week, you don't have to choose. You can see all of them and many more during the Victoria Theatre Association's 2016 Cool Films Series.

The annual series runs July 8 through Aug. 28 at the Victoria Theatre, and will include special Reel Late at the Vic late-night flicks as well as matinee Family Films.

During the series, the VTA will set out free popcorn, soda and nostalgia.

The series features classic films from the 1940s-60s Victory Movie House era.

CLASSIC FILMS:

Showings start at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and at 3 p.m. Sundays. Individual tickets are $6.

July 8-10: "Rear Window," directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly.

July 15-17: "The Wizard of Oz," starring Judy Garland and Ray Bolger.

July 22-24: "Mary Poppins," starring Julie Andrews.

July 28-31: "Oceans 11," starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.

Aug. 12-14: "Casablanca," starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.

Aug. 19-21: "Gone with the Wind," starring Clark Cable and Vivien Leigh.

Aug. 26-28: "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes," starring Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell.

FAMILY MATINEES:

Shows are Thursdays at 10 a.m. Individual tickets are $3.

July 28: “Muppets from Space”

REEL LATE AT THE VIC:

Shows are Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. Individual tickets are $6.

SPECIAL INVITATION ONLY EVENT

In addition, to celebrate the Victoria Theatre's 150th anniversary, the VTA will host a Disney Weekend, Aug. 5-7. It's an invitation-only, free three-day event, and VTA patrons will receive invitations via direct mail and email.
